Dehradun

Dehradun is a beautiful town located in the picturesque Doon Valley. It has been named after Guru Dronacharya of the Mahabharata epic. It is flanked by the river Yamuna in the West and the river Ganges in the East. Towards the North lie the Higher Himalayas while the Shivalik range embraces it in the South.

Dehradun is known for its lush Sal forests and has diverse flora and fauna. It provides easy access to famous pilgrim centers like Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, yamunotri and Henkund Sahib.
